There is still a lot to do this summer but this doesn’t stop us from planning ahead. We have now signed a subcontractor deal with Audiens agreeing to deliver and install the new lifting solution and control system for the rebuilt culture center in Ål, Norway.
A little history
The city of Ål is a small town located between Oslo the capital and the city of Bergen. Their culture house first opened in 1992 and is the regional cultural center for the entire Hallingdal region. The premise contains amongst other things: Ål culture school, tourist information, library, gallery Syningen, the Rolf Nesch museum, office spaces and two amphitheaters used for cinema, concerts, theater, dance, conferences, meetings, and seminars. The whole building is being rebuilt during 2018-2019.
About the project
The owners of the new facilities are looking to install a new lifting solution and control system for their big stage.
PSRIG’s part
The installation will include 13 FlexBeam modular stage hoist systems equipped with LP500 D8+ chain hoists from GIS and truss from TAF. Furthermore, another 6 point lifts will be installed using the same model of chain hoist. Everything will be controlled by a control system from SRS Rigging.
Delivery and installation begin after the summer.
